I haven't really been following how the latest deluxe incarnations have been altered as they've been reprinted, beyond the comments of being printed in China etc. I bought all of them as they came out.
So, what is now going on with the old 50th 2004 edition? Is this not the revised 50th text? Has this gone in to 10 impressions since 2013, or did they continue on impression numbering from 2004? When was the spine "50th" bit dropped? etc etc
Impression numbering continues from 2004, I believe. I *think* it changed on the 9th -- There was a thread which mentioned it somewhere here or on /r/tolkienbooks. No idea if the text inside changed.
Ex-library stamps seem pretty minimal.
This is a good deal if you want to own this book and don't. Most other copies I could find are $80+.

Anyone here nab this? Looks like it had just two determined bidders. Surprised it went so high for a worn ex-lib.

Yeah, seems too expensive, given more of them seem to be coming out of the woodwork these days. I'd have thought half that would have been more closer to the mark, personally.
In case any of you missed when it was shared a few days ago, there is a nice copy of the Linguaphone set on eBay right now.
Thanks for sharing, Urulókë ?
Non-eBay, but a nice copy (including dustjacket) of Winter’s Tales for Children 1 is on Abebooks now (not mine, unlike the Linguaphone set).

A nice condition issue of Seventeen magazine (January 1967) which has an interview with JRR Tolkien in it.
