This may appeal to people who like fan-fiction.

Yup there is certainly a healthy fan-fiction community, this is too pricey for most of them though.

I've read these and thought very little of them. Not something I would ever return to but each to their own. Others will find this interesting.

That tear is an absolute travesty. It’s like you’re paying just for the dust jacket. Sad lol

Admittedly it's a personal (i.e. subjective) thing, but I can see meaningful value in a book in this state, even without a DJ, as the tear is only on the front free end paper. And if you carefully excised the FFEP, there wouldn't be a tear at all
