A secretarial letter from 1965 tipped into this book.
I thought the secretarial letter was interesting as it added a comment regarding the Ace editions being pirate copies. Interesting because the date of that letter (20 May, 1965) corresponds to another letter from Tolkien (letter #270) also dated 20 May, 1965, where Tolkien mentions to Rayner Unwin in a PS that he is “now inserting in every note of acknowledgement to readers in the U.S.A. a brief note informing them that Ace Books is a pirate, and asking them to inform others.”
