Is that the india paper? Always bothered me in these editions how the text bleeds thru on each page...
This is an India Paper edition, the paper is very see-through, but I like it being in such a small volume.
I haven't even begun to collect the harper Collins stuff yet, with shipping costs, availability and all. I dare say when I do the prices will be beyond my reach. Hah. Perhaps next year. I've done a good work on the older houghton mifflin stuff. It's a daunting task to go after that newer, more sought after deluxe editions.
I do plan to finish the Unwin Hyman collection first though ...

Interesting to see one of these at a slightly more reasonsable price than UK and US sellers (noting that this seller is in Sweden). That said, IMO it's still quite overpriced in this condition - several copies that were (seemingly) as good or better went for between 2,500 and 4,000 Kr. at auction here in the last few months.
And there is also one on sale at the moment at www.bokborsen.se for 2,000 Kr.
The ones at 2000-4000 kr are the 1994 reprint. The $480 first edition one is ex-library. First editions go for around the $1000 mark at bokbørsen depending on condition.
Actually all 4 of the ones in that price range, going back to September, were the 1962 edition, not 1994 (per Auctionet). And that one I mentioned being currently on bokbörsen is 1962 as well.

I see it now but thats another x-library and the spine is shot
As an example, the next page or two is visible, however, not woeful. Handsome edition (note, 2001 is the third impression of 1997).

Wonder at what this bid will end at? Very curious.

Not sure how much the book ends go for, but this listing sold in less than a few hours. He could’ve posted it for more I assume…
