G.B. Smiths writes that he is unwell and says that Tolkien's letters offer him consolation, especially Tolkien's mentions of Smith's Newdigate Prize entry. He confirms he has sent on Tolkien's poems to Rob Gilson, who had himself confirmed he had received them (see Letter from Rob Gilson to J.R.R. Tolkien • 31 March 1915 (#1213)).
