Christopher Wiseman writes to Tolkien while he is staying with his mother in Bromsgrove. He says he and Tolkien must spend some time together and his mother asks if he and Edith could join them at Barrow's on 15 July.
He also asks Tolkien to shorten his stay at Moseley and to go to Barnt Green ealier so that they can have a walking day together. Hammond/Scull note that there is no evidence that they did meet.
In any case, Tolkien was due to present himself at Bedford on 19 July.
