Gilson was the last of the T.C.B.S. to write to Tolkien with his report of the gathering the previous weekend. He was very sorry that Tolkien could not attend.^{See also Letter from G.B. He sees the T.C.B.S. as "a great moral reformer", working to purify England. All four members are essential.
