To
John Tolkien
Date
21 January 1934

Writing to his son John, Tolkien asks about the credits he will take and also that he noted that his German books remained in his trunk after his holiday.
He asks John about his drawing and notes that he doesn't see him getting the worth from the classes. Tolkien asks if he would mind if the extras were cancelled.
He hopes that John has rid himself of the last of his cold and reminds him to not forget "mummy's cards and letters".
