Gordon to Kenneth Sisam • 22 December 1924 (#1647)[1] Sisam replies with a stern warning that if Tolkien commits to as many corrections on the Clarendon Chaucer as he did with A Middle English Vocabulary that he will be expected to pay the costs himself.
