TCG Letter #1655

Monckton had written to say that he cannot make the dinner of 13 July.^{Chronology, p. 537[1]} Tolkien replies that the next dinner will be held on 14 December. He reminds Monckton that his subscription is due and further notes that the subscriptions are currently low.
