Wheeler writes asking Tolkien to return the 'Nodens' proof as the publisher is asking for it. But later on the same day, the note arrives as Tolkien had sent it previously. ^{Letter from J.R.R. In July 1932 Tolkien’s note 'The Name ‘Nodens’' is published as Appendix A in Report on the Excavation of the Prehistoric, Roman, and Post-Roman Site in Lydney Park, Gloucestershire by R.E.M. Wheeler and T.V. Wheeler.
