Tolkien discusses C.S. Lewis and his invitation to Cambridge. Lewis had intitially refused the offer citing family obligations, namely his brothers health, but Tolkien convinced Lewis that the move would be good for him. Willink though had offered the chair elsewhere before recieving a letter from Lewis accepting the post.

Quoted by Brian Barbour in "Lewis and Cambridge", Modern Philology 96, no. 4.

A shorter extract was published in The Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis: Narnia, Cambridge, and Joy 1950-1963.

tolkiengateway.com mention that the version found in Lewis's volume of letters is a shorter edited version. While it is shorter due to formatting, it is not edited differently.
