Tolkien writes to inform Heppenstall that he is unable to attend the rehearsal and the recording of the radio play for The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth which is due to take place in early December (3rd).
Tolkien asks if he could help, if sent the notes. He sends back the Dies Irae in place of the current ending, and would like a copy of the script and his own copy of Essays and Studies returned to him.
