Tolkien replies to Mr. Tiller regarding a BBC radio adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. He gives his approval and says he will contact Allen & Unwin to go ahead with a contract.
He offers his assistance as he can give, once term is over. Tolkien makes mention of the songs, and expects they will "vanish" as they "are seldom contributors to the action".
He had missed Tiller's adaptation of Lewis, much to his dismay, as he would have been very interested in the production.
