Writing to Miss Turnbull, Tolkien says that he has not had time to reply to her long letter as he is "en-meshed with business" and the final pieces of volume three of The Lord of the Rings.[i]The Return of the King[/i][1]

The letter was quoted in Sotheby's English Literature and History 18 July 1991 and a picture was published which sadly is impossible to read from the lower portion of given it is covered by a auction page.
