Tolkien • 16 December 1937 (#2020)[1] Le Fall of Geoffrey Tyndale’s Bookshop in Bath writes to Tolkien with details on the competition for The Hobbit. Tolkien replies offering to sign the books and will provide copies of his runic alphabet.
