Following on from his letter in 1945, Letter from Stephen Bone to J.R.R. Tolkien • 22 May 1945 (#2046)[1] Bone returns a speciman page from The Lord of the Rings and discusses it. We currently have no record of Tolkien's replies but we can assume with some certainty that he did.
