John Boorman writes to his friend, the Reverend John Maguire of the Reading University Catholic Chaplaincy, who knows Tolkien. The three men had been planning to meet in person, but Boorman has had a slipped disc in his back which prevented him from traveling. Boorman says he has now written to Tolkien through his publisher, and hopes they can meet near the end of July instead if Maguire is available then.
