TCG Letter #2095

Tolkien writes to Stanley Unwin. He had suggested they meet in November for their next meeting and gives various dates, but Stanley writes a letter which arrives after he sends the first ^{Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Stanley Unwin • 29 October 1937 (first letter) (#2096)[1]} and he writes confirming 17 November. He asks Stanley if he should borrow a copy of Lewis' novel, Out of the Silent Planet.

Tolkien remarks that he had intended to see a lecture in London at the British Academy^{by Professor Joseph Vendryes[2]} but felt too tired. He notes to Stanley Unwin that he had pressing business at 3pm and had to squeeze in his appointment with the photographers, Elliot & Fry that GA&U had organized. He hopes thats the results will do.^{Hammond/Scull, Chronology, p. 218[3]}
