Tolkien writes to C.V. Salmon explaining that he has been ill and has not yet written the broadcast for 14 January on Beowulf. he will get it to him as soon as possible. He asks that the rehearsal be held as late as possible. He also amends the billing in the Radio Times for the broadcast.
