Further to their letters on Mr. Bliss,^{See Letter from C.A. Furth to J.R.R. Tolkien • 15 February 1938 (#2134)[1]} C.A. Furth writes to Tolkien remarking that Mr. Bliss could be reproduced in the same manner as the Beatrix Potter books, in colour halftone blocks. He notes however that these would have to be on glossy paper. If Tolkien feels that children are happy with glossy paper then he should return the manuscript for GA&U to do a costing.
