Roger Lloydhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Bradshaigh_Lloyd[1] writes to an unknown recipient about his thoughts on The Lord of the Rings and information that he had heard from his friend Philip Unwin about the success of the book. Lloyd didn't like Tolkien's portrayal of women, thinks Gollum was wonderful, and loved Tolkien's portrayal of evil. He wasn't a fan of all of the Appendices at the end.
