Gilson writes home. He was returned to his battalion on Salisbury Plain. He has spent a weekend with G.B. Smith where they went to Salisbury and then the village of Westbury. He describes in detail a sketch that he made and gave to Smith in honour of his poem on the same subject printed in Oxford Poetry.
