Tolkien replies to Cees Ouboter of Voorhoeve & Dietrich, regarding Edith's health along with relaying arrangements for his visit to Amsterdam via London and Rotterdam. He mentions that he has "received (not without considerable astonishment)" as much "praise as is good" for him. Tolkien also comments on a Programme and Menu he has received and vents about the book review of A. Marja in the NRC of 15th March. Tolkien also hopes to meet the Dutch translator of In de Ban van de Ring, Max Schuchart.
