In a portion published in the C.S. Lewis Biography by Green Tolkien talks about Lewis's use of "Numinor" and says he had read portions of the then in progress Silmarillion aloud.The Lewis Biography quote does not indicate where it was written, however in The Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis Volume 3 Walter Hooper does cite this letter as the source for this material.[1]
