Tolkien discusses some questions from The New York Times.

He talks about the name, TOLKIEN, his ancestors, and even though he was born in Africa, he considered himself to be English.

Tolkien commented on his remark about "philology" from a New York Times article. He stated that The Lord of the Rings is not allegorical.
