The reader had asked if another book would be published and minor details are given that a book, The Silmarillion is forthcoming and offers "an account" of his mythology.
In regard to information on the genealogy of Hobbits, Tolkien adds a handwritten footnote about Merry, suggesting that he married "a sister of Fredegar (Fatty) Bolger".
