Gilson writes to Tolkien explaining that he cannot keep weekends open for T.C.B.S. meetings and that he needs to know at once which weekends work best for Tolkien.
In a lengthy commnetary on some of Tolkien's poetry, Gilson offers improvements and general feedback to Tolkien's work. He offers Tolkien critcism of the poem 'Sea-Song',See Sea-Song of an Day, no. 13 in The Collected Poems of J.R.R. Tolkien[1] suggesting Tolkien's syntax becomes obscure and offers an example from 'Outside',Poems, no. 14[2]
