TCG Letter #1694

George S. Gordon sends Tolkien's revised glossary of the Clarendon Chaucer to Kenneth Sisam. In the covering note he says that he feels Tolkien's preface is "too curt and professional" for a school audience and encloses his own version.^{Sisam will prefer Gordon's version.[1]}
