Hammond/Scull noteChronology, p. 159[1] that Tolkien, Onions, and Wyld sign a letter to the Secretary of Faculties on appointing a lecturer to teach English Language. They note that the draft is in Onions' hand but that the typescript appears to be made by Tolkien.
