Tolkien sends his poem 'Firiel'^{Later revised as the 'Last Ship' for the collection The Adventures of Tom Bombadil[1]} to the Convents of the Sacred Heart (at Our Lady's School, Abingdon) to be published in their Chronicle of the Convents of the Sacred Heart.^{The poem was published on 25 March, 1934 in the Chronicle of the Convents of the Sacred Heart 4 (1934).[2]}
