Tolkien writes about Aman and what happens to mortals, such as Frodo, when they go there.

In a portion published in the C.S. Lewis Biography by Green Tolkien talks about Lewis's use of "Numinor" and says he had read portions of the then in progress Silmarillion aloud.^{The Lewis Biography quote does not indicate where it was written, however in The Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis Volume 3 Walter Hooper does cite this letter as the source for this material.[1]}
