Michael H R Tolkien's copy with his ownership inscription on the front endpaper. Michael was the second son of Edith and J R R Tolkien, the author of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He was also an executor and director of the Tolkien estate after his father’s passing. A nice association copy of this supernatural horror volume. Second impression of the 1971 first edition. Very Good - The corners and spine are bumped. The pages are lightly toned with a few marks but are all clean without any notes or underlining. Binding is strong. The dustwrapper is edgeworn and a bit toned but doesn't have any tears.
