Matching First Edition set published in 1962 by George Allen & Unwin Ltd. (London). Three books are 12th, 9th and 9th impressions, respectively. Red cloth-covered boards with gold design and lettering along the spine. Books are in very-good condition with no interior marks or wear except for the previous owner's handwritten name on the front end paper. The red stain on the top page edges is sun-faded adjacent to the spines (see photo). The original dust jackets have previously been folded and tucked inside the slipcase so the flaps can additional folds (see last photo), there is soiling on the front of the "Fellowship" dust jacket, a three-inch tear along the bottom spine of the "Fellowship" jacket, and medium wear at the top and bottom of the spines. There is moderate wear (with bumping) along the edges and at the corners of the slipcase, a 1.5-inch split at the lower front corner of the slipcase opening, other wear at the corners of the opening, and a circular bottle mark on the top of the slipcase.
