With leather and gilt outer covers and pages made from fine, thin, India paper, it is a stunning book and one of the finest published editions. Interior colour illustrations by Tolkien are still bright and colourful. The spine has no creasing or bending, and the internal creases are intact The book is in good condition for the age, with the gilt work lettering and dragon still being bright Some minor discolouration to the page edges as shown No damage, inscriptions, marks, or stains throughout. The box appears in good general condition other than being split at 3 of the corners as shown
