I bought it from Kennys (https://www.kennys.ie/shop/letters-from-father-christmas-2), a month and a half ago. It was a sort of gamble, as they (although very kind!) cannot check the copyright page as the book is sealed. But I suppose they only have the new editions in stock now, and no longer the 2019 ones.
Prices on the site fluctuate - when I purchased it, the price was around 40 euros.

Hi guys!
Not many interesting arrivals in the last few months, but I would like to share this one with you.

I bought a copy of The Father Christmas Letters (1976) and it came to me along with a handwritten letter from Priscilla Tolkien, dated November 21st, 2001. The recipient of the letter was Anne Harvey (here's her obituary in The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2023 ... 13/anne-harvey-obituary).

In the letter she refers to "Elizabeth's death" and the "funeral and the gathering afterwards" - Tolkien family's friend Elizabeth Jennings, perhaps? She died on October 26th, 2001. In the letter Priscilla wrote that "She [Elizabeth] has left us some memorable poems and writing".

As a side note, browsing the web I found that at the University of Manchester Library there is a collection of "corresp, papers, news cuttings, and some publications by and rel to Elizabeth Jennings collected by Priscilla Tolkien" (https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/N17000087).

Will I ever get a letter from JRRT? I don't know, most likely not. But in the meantime I like to have in my collection a letter written by his beloved daughter Priscilla (I wonder if it is an authentic letter - I hope so!).

Added this to our Letters Guide, may take a while before you can see it. Letter from Priscilla Tolkien to Anne Harvey • 21 November 2001 (#2347)

Yes it is authentic, that is Priscilla's address at the top.

Additionnaly to Trotter's expertise, I have 3 signatures from Priscilla in various books and for me the handwriting of the signature of your letter looks 100% genuine to me.
