What's the tl;dr?

We don't need to know what this book will tell us, he is a huge Tolkien fan but doesn't want to gain greater understanding of Tolkien, the Estate made Amazon pay 250MIL for the series and he seems to dislike this fact. You are not missing anything.

Thanks for the link Jeremy.

Some of these articles really like to push the previously unknown angle. Especially as if they were suddenly uncovered.

Indiana-based Tolkien fan, Matt Graf, 36, who runs YouTube fan-site "Nerd of the Rings," told NBC News the unearthed writings were a thrilling development.

"For those of us who dive over Tolkien's writings, to have something totally new and fresh, which no one has read before is very exciting," he said.

EDITED for nonsense removal...

I cannot yet speak to the contents in specifics, but let me dispel this speculation now. It is true that The Nature of Middle-earth will contain some primary material that was previously published in specialist journals; but the vast majority of the material is previously unpublished. (That's why I've been at work on this in earnest and as my schedule permits for some years now.)

This ⬆⬆⬆ should be spread around. Thanks for that confirmation Aelfwine!

Carl thank you and let me apologise as reading my comment back I should have pointed out that the 'mentioned subjects' bore resemblance to previous texts you have edited rather than "most of the subjects".

And thank you for the details. I am happy to have any concern dispelled.
