Very nice!
A bumber find Orfewspearl. Very nice.
I have not seen the Paul Kocher Readers Guide to the Silmarillion before. I will have to seek that out.

Some early American copies of LOTR arrived today, but are missing the publication dates and impressions. does anyone know a solid way to identify these?
I know they are not first impressions, and that they are relatively early because of the jackets, but beyond that I'm lost! Its annoying not being able to chronologically place them on my shelves

Congrats Tiny Turtle ! Great acquisition
Based on your pictures, I can tell you :
- FotR is a 9th impression 1960 : it' the only impression with both Allen&Unwin and Houghton Mifflin devices displayed on the title page, with no date on the copyright page. The mention "PRINTED in GREAT BRITAIN" in capitals means the book is printed by Purnell.
- TTT is a 6th impression 1959 : No date on the copyright page, the dust jacket has the drawing lines in black (the first 3 impressions have drawing lines in dark blue). The 5th is supposed to have a DJ with drawing lines in black. There are also 2 states of the 5th : one with the copyright page having impression details, and another with no details but the colour of the binding is a clear navy blue. Yours seems to have the regular blue colour so it's definitely a 6th.
- RotK is either a 4th (1958) or a 5th (1959), as they are the only impressions with no printing details on the copyright page. (the 1st has no printing details either but shows the date of 1956 on the title page.)
