Lovely!

I really like this edition.
Excellent! By coincidence, a copy came up on Abebooks yesterday which I ordered right away. Will also post a picture when it arrives.

Excellent! I look forward to seeing it. I had an excellent one today. A fairly moderate first edition set came in the post, but with some lovely newspaper cuttings inside, including Tolkien's NYT obituary.

Thanks for sharing! And that's a nice haul of cuttings - lovely
(though the NYT obit seems to have got the wrong university when referring to the lecture on fairy stories - that was St. Andrews right?...)
Haven't really been acquiring much of note recently (the trade and deluxe HotH will get their own review-ish post soon, so those aren't here).
Some fun items to note:
This has the first mention of The Lord of the Rings in a fanzine, that I have been able to find so far (it is a never-ending quest). It is a full page review of Fellowship from approximately October 1954.
Huge thanks to Predictable Matt for helping me track down this edition. Everyone has been sharing their Inger Edelfeldt covers and I needed some ?
Sometimes you chance across a fine condition set of something you've wanted for a while, at a great price. Bought sight unseen (just listed "as new" with no pictures). Couldn't be happier.
Spanish translation of the very last "Middle-earth Quest" gamebooks "Search for the Palantir" - in fact, the publisher didn't have time to release the English version before disaster, so the handful of translated editions is the only way to get this title.
New Silesian translation of The Hobbit. Love the cover art by Grzegorz Chudy on this!
I took a chance here and bought a box of "Tolkien stuff" completely sight unseen. A couple of issues of Mythlore and Minas Tirith Evening Star, an issue of the Chronicles of the Restoration newsletter, a first edition of Tolkien Bestiary, some MERP modules and a Mythopoeic Conference program book signed on the cover by Peter S. Beagle. Lots of fun to open! Also had about a three inch pile of ephemera (clippings, loose pages, and other things) that will take a while to go through. Well worth what I paid.

Look what arrived in the post today, my copy of Tolkien’s Legendarium, but a couple of people have scribbled in it ?
I want to take a second to thank Aelfwine for taking the time out of his day(s) to not only sign my copy for me, but to hold on to it until he saw Dr. Flieger so that she could sign it, then mail it back to me. I am eternally grateful to have such generous friends.
