Ugh... did he ever leave? So tired of seeing his absurd diatribe against people like himself: "I have been collecting Tolkien books for over 30 years and it really galls me to find people selling items for ridiculous prices claiming they are "rare" or "highly collectible" "

I have Alan-53 hidden on my standard searches. There are several others of the usual suspects also hidden. Life is better that way.

Trust me, it is a wonderful thing. Lee1976Lee (or whatever his handle is) got banished as well. I only have to get annoyed when these guys' auctions get posted up here now.

I'm not sure I'd classify this as "good". Laminated (not mentioned in listing) AND knackered.

Basically this seems to apply to any (almost) any mustycats auction of relatively recent books.

Why would anyone pay such inftated amounts?

I remember my local bookshop in Australia having a LOT of copies of the above. And that was in Aus. They certainly aren't rare.
