Having just recently re-watched Serkis reading Trump tweets in Gollum’s voice on Stephen Colbert’s show, I got so excited for this. Then, I saw “abridged” and an rather crestfallen. I want the whole cake, dammit!

Where did you see “abridged” this is “unabridged”
I saw abridged right after the un, and my brain apparently shut right off. Andy Serkis does strange things to me! I’ll just be over here with my cake, precious...

No problem, we can be Tricksy.
To anyone that watched him read the book (which will be the recording) - does he speak his trade-mark Gollum during 'Riddles in the Dark?' I wouldn't be surprised either way, as it's an audiobook format.

No it is not, he recorded the whole thing again in a recording studio.
Purchase the Audio CD and find out, not sure what you mean by "audiobook format", how does that equate to an Audio CD?
