Renders of a book (that has a dustjacket) with curved corners look weird. Once you notice, you can't un-notice.
Yeah I can't un-notice that. It looks likes a Latin American release with their front cover direct onto the boards instead of having a DJ.
Is there any new information on the upcoming Tales from the Perilous Realm release? Might this match the new illustrated editions?

It is a reprint of the 2008 HarperCollins hardback, that does has some textual corrections to Leaf by Niggle, but apart from that the same.

Thanks for the information. I was hoping that there would be a new deluxe edition coming, but since that doesn't seem to be the case, I suppose I'll double my efforts to find a first print of the current Deluxe edition.

There's also a chance of it having coloured ink, and a ribbonmarker; like the others do.
I'm looking for something sumptuous

Ok, I apologize but I have to ask, now. Why the intense fixation on ribbons? ? No problem with your interest in them, and you could be right about your speculation above, I'm just curious.
For me personally, ribbons aren't a selling point (they always fray at the bottom eventually). I don't mind them much, but I tuck them away and use my own removable bookmark.

Let's all chip in and buy HarperCollins a thesaurus.

I absolutely loath ribbonmarkers. Useless things imo.
