Does anyone have knowledge of the overall collectability of these sets?
Collectors like these for a variety of reasons; mainly that they are the first non-English LOTR volumes, the interesting dust jacket art, the unusual maps in the back, and the mis print of Tolkien's name on FOTR. I bought my set some time ago for all those reasons.
Very nice set. Just for anyone wondering I talked to the lister and he sent me photos of the spines. The spines are yellowed it seems slightly but wholly intact. Very nice set overall aside from the yellowing along the edges and the spine. Interested to see how much it goes for.
