I think the pictures and blurb may have been stolen from the tolkienbookshelf.com, as it also includes the incorrect assumption that Tolkien drew the illustration on the dust wrapper.

It looks like this particular set was on sale from www.tolkienbookshelf.com for about £750 as the set are still listed on Beren's site.

I'd be concerned as to whether the seller even owns the set. Some people just have transaction histories that make you suspicious - and this guy seems to have purchased a couple of "get rich quick" schemes from eBay if you look at his feedback history. Couple that fact with the fact that the photos he has used are in the public domain and I would be steering well clear (even if he wasn't asking for triple the going value).

This is not a set I'd particularly set my sights on. But, last month, I was in my local Oxfam bookshop --& they had a nice set (not without faults, but probably about VG+/VG+) for £60. I'll have that...
