What could these be like ?
Usually, pictures will appear of the covers, they only have placeholders at the moment, but they should be replaced with real images before the release.

Letters from Father Christmas
HarperCollins, have informed me that this edition matches the recent hardbacks in size and style such as The Fall of Númenor.
Have had some more info on this edition from Harpercollins
- For this forthcoming edition of the Letters from Father Christmas (9780008627577), which supersedes the existing jacketed hardback (ISBN 9780007463374), we have increased its format to the now-standard hardback size, and replaced the existing content with that of the most recent setting (the ‘Centenary’ edition). We have also taken the opportunity to make a handful of emendations to bring the text closer to the original letters, provided a transcription of J.R.R. Tolken’s handwritten note, and included the fully illustrated endpapers.
The deluxe slipcased edition has been similarly updated so that, from its next reprint onwards, the standard and deluxe hardback settings will match (though the deluxe will retain the fold-out frontispiece and be printed on superior paper).
On Reddit, one member has recently bought the new Deluxe Edition, so if you want one depending on stock levels, you could get the old edition or the new edition.

Well I may buy the new standard one as it was 2012 last time I bought one. However, I’ll pass on the deluxe.

This was the most frustrating part of the previous editions for me, so I'm interested in seeing how much of this they've fixed.

I don't have a copy if this so have pre-ordered a standard hardback. Looking forward to reading it!
These letters are wonderful. You won't be sorry.
I consider these letters the families greatest gift to Tolkien's readers. Obviously beyond what Christopher has achieved in the wider Tolkien sense. They let us into a part of their fathers life that they could have been forgiven for keeping for themselves.
Looks like we will need to update this section of the guide with the new Trade & Deluxe editions.

Just got a reply from Harpercollins:
"The previous printing has sold out, so everything shipping from our warehouse now will be the (slightly) updated edition."
So looks like ordering the Deluxe directly from Harpercollins will guarantee an updated edition.
