As much as you can keep out of light, I do. I didn’t have this ‘98 set brand new but I have had it a good number of years. I actually didn’t realise how it looked until this picture. It may be the angle and flash too that makes it worse than it is? But yes there is some fading.

Did you buy this directly from the Bodleian? Or from a 2nd hand dealer?

If from the Bodleian looks like they have about 100 left or so, if they are sending them off in order that is.

They are definitely selling them non-sequentially. I bought one direct last week (I finally decided with how prices have gone generally that I probably won't lose money long term). My copy ended up being #216

I wouldn't like to hazard a guess, tbh. I think they will sell a fair few when the Amazon series hype really kicks in, especially if they publicise in the right place (assuming there are plenty left). Look at S&G where HarperCollins couldn't shift them, but Folio sold a couple of hundred in a couple of weeks.

I will say that in any sane market, I still think it is overpriced by quite a bit. But it is also very nicely executed. It was a nice change to unwrap a quality product after some of the distinctly non-sumptuous garbage of the last year!

Bought it directly from the Bodleian. It was faster then I expected it... and didn't had any problem with customs duty as I live in Germany
