Like you guys, I am more excited about the deluxe. But he posted this pic to demonstrate that the US trade is identical to the UK (which was definitely not the case for NoMe).

The US versions since HC acquired HMH have been all over board in terms of height.
They really need to settle on a size for the US versions and then stick with it.

Nice, makes sense to only design and size things once (and then just swap out the HC/WM logo) and gives those in the US the option to just pick up the local copy and have it fit on their shelves (assuming they don't care that the logo is different).

HC have sent a photo of the spines of the Deluxe Fall of Gondolin, The Story of Kullervo and The Fall of Numenor, showing the books together.

I hope it is just the image giving an odd perspective but that FoN slip looks terrible. All sorts of shapes and lines going on on that.

I think it's just way the books are oriented, and their looks to be a bit of plastic wrap still on the case.
