Tolkein letter (Hayward 1957)

There's a typo in the title of your thread. This is clearly a Tolkein letter, as the author states multiple times.

I doubt if he asked the Tolkien Estate for permission to publish this, the constant incorrect spelling of Tolkein makes me think he has not.

I am concerned that he thinks the following "It includes a copy of a genuine letter from Tolkein to a reader just after he had written LOTR", no-one, that I am aware of, has any real proof that J.R.R. Tolkein existed

That 'Tolkein' letter dropped into that 'booklet' seems random, as well. It is not referred to in the text of the booklet, and it is reproduced small enough that it pretty much isn't legible. I think it was stuck in there just to get more people to download the booklet.

Still, you need permission to reproduce Tolkien's letters and I agree, this author very likely did not ask.
