Hi folks
I have a copy of the Redbook magazine from 23 November 1967 for sale. The issue includes J.R.R. Tolkien's "Smith of Wootton Major", being the first publication of the short story in the United States. The cover is somewhat worn, and has the usual mailing label affixed. I attach a couple of photos. This is now sold, but some of the other items are still available.
I also have:
- "Tolkien Through Russian Eyes", Mark T Hooker, Walking Tree Publishers, 2003, p/b, 320pp, NF
- "Tolkien and Wagner: The Ring and Der Ring", Christopher MacLachlan, Walking Tree Publishers, 2012, p/b, 234pp, NF
- "JRR Tolkien: The Shores of Middle-earth", Robert Giddings & Elizabeth Holland, Junction Books, 1981, 289pp, VG
- "Modern Critical Views: JRR Tolkien", ed Harold Bloom, Chelsea House, 2000, h/b, 174pp, NF in NF dw
- Arda Special 1, "Between Faith and Fiction: Tolkien and the Powers of his World", 1997; papers by Marjorie Burns, Nils Ivar Agoy, Verlyn Flieger, Kaj Andre Apland, Daniel Timmons, Maria Kuteeva, p/b, 91pp, NF.
Would anyone like to make me a reasonable offer for any of these? Shipping (from England) will be charged at cost. Please comment here, send me a message through the website, or email me at andrew at avro707 dot force9 dot co dot uk.
