Was interested in acquiring a hardcover of the above, either a 1994 or 2002 edition. I found the prices on amazon and abe to be quite high, especially for the 2002 edition (> $400 usd on amazon). This seems a bit ridiculous; am I missing something?

Not so far as I am aware. Just usual pricing nonsense - I think I paid $10 or less (for the 2002, I assume -- I never unpacked it after moving to NZ). I don't think it is uncommon.

The 2002 edition was £7.99 and at least three impressions were issued, so as Stu said this is a pretty common book, I would not advise paying $400 for it, $15 would seem to be about right.

Thanks - that does seem more reasonable.

I'm pretty sure that you will get a copy for 10 pounds or so on eBay if you don't mind waiting a couple of months for one to show up. I know one sold on TradeMe (NZ) fairly recently, and I'm pretty sure it was up for $10-15 NZD. A bundle of books including that one sold on eBay UK for 35 pounds-ish, but I'm also pretty sure that I saw one a couple of months back go for a tenner or thereabouts, although I couldn't see it looking for sold stuff.
There can't be that many people that care too much about this book, given its nature (classic unnecessary HarperCollins money-spinner)
I did come across this WTF, when looking at sold listings though. I'm not sure I really believe it sold for that, though, though, given you can get them for thirty - fifty pounds ordinarily....
